Photographic Exchange Project is a photography collaboration between Rhiannon Tully based in Perth, Australia and Takashi Fukui, based in Beppu, Japan. Rhiannon picks a photograph of Takashi’s and uses it as a jumping point for her photographic response. The relationship between the images is not strictly literal, the shared dialogue and photography aesthetic is equally as important as the subject matter. Rhiannon and Takashi have not met but continue to communicate through photography. The natural evolution of this project would be for each to travel to the others home town and document the experience.
